The Treasurer is responsible for depositing, investing, and disbursing funds for Coles County. The Collector is responsible for billing, investing, and distributing property taxes. In Coles County, approximately 25,000 real estate tax bills are mailed each year, and collections are over 44 million in tax dollars. These funds are distributed to over 60 taxing districts.
